At Drumpal, sustainability is embedded in our management systems and daily operations.
Our approach to the circular economy is aligned with internationally recognised standards, including ISO 9001 (Quality Management), ISO 14001 (Environmental Management) and ISO 45001 (Occupational Health & Safety).
We actively support the circular economy through the collection, reconditioning and reuse of metal and plastic drums and intermediate bulk containers (IBCs). By extending the usable life of industrial packaging, we reduce waste generation, conserve natural resources and lower the environmental footprint associated with the manufacture of new containers.
Our reconditioning processes follow documented procedures that ensure consistent quality, environmental protection and safe working conditions. Each container is cleaned, inspected and prepared for reuse in a controlled manner, ensuring compliance with customer requirements and applicable regulatory standards.
In support of Extended Producer Responsibility (EPR) legislation, Drumpal is an active member of EWASA (Extended Waste Association of South Africa). Through this association, we assist our customers in meeting their EPR obligations by ensuring that industrial packaging waste is managed responsibly, traceably and in accordance with South African environmental regulations.
